Join us for an inspiring and educational day at the state capitol where you’ll gain a hands-on understanding of how state and local government truly work. From how bills become laws to how everyday people can influence the process. This unique experience gives you the chance to meet and speak directly with your state delegation about real issues affecting our community, explore the beauty and history of our state capital, and even turn the day into an engaging field trip for your kids to learn about civic life. Because this event falls on a day off for most, it’s easy for families, students, and working adults to attend. You’ll also hear from leaders in the executive branch and have meaningful opportunities to advocate for the issues that matter most to you and your neighbors.
