Who can vote in Washington?
To vote in Washington State:
Be a U.S. citizen
Be a Washington resident
Be at least 18 years old by Election Day
Not be disqualified due to a court ruling of mental incompetency
Not be currently incarcerated for a felony conviction
Pre-registration is allowed!
If you're 16 or 17, you can pre-register and be automatically registered when you turn 18.

Primary Election: August 5, 2025
Register online/mail by: July 28
In-person registration: Until 8 PM on August 5
General Election: November 4, 2025
Register online/mail by: October 27
In-person registration: Until 8 PM on November 4

How do I vote?
Washington is a vote-by-mail state. Once you receive your ballot you can drop it at an official drop box by 8pm on Election Day or mail it (no postage needed) they morning of the election.
